These 3 new boats of over 22 metres explore new frontiers in design, some taking inspiration from supercars or jets, others redesigning the open concept, or rethinking the flybridge with an interplay of windows.

Otam 70 HT
A sleek and fast motorboat, the first example of which is already under construction. Lovers of luxury fast cruisers will already appreciate it from the renderings. The rounded, yet decisive and sporty line is reminiscent of hypercars such as the Bugatti Chiron. The automotive and aeronautical inspiration is very much in evidence in this project. Large air intakes on the deck and on the sides of the bow sundeck, as well as in front of the windscreen and on the hard-top, and plenty of power to be released. The Otam 70HT reaches a maximum speed of 50 knots (although it is possible that more radical engines will be studied). The Otam 70 HT achieves this performance thanks to a hull with a deadrise angle of 21 degrees. Stability, manoeuvrability and immediate reactions to manoeuvres even in rough seas. The boat runs like a single line from bow to stern. The set-back position and the shape of the “suspended” superstructure, which the BG Design Firm associates with a jet cabin, increase the sensation of speed.

A clear “family feeling” is the key to the design of the BG72. Monte Carlo Yachts 76 Skylounge
A motorboat to be lived in all year round. The latest boat launched by Monte Carlo Yachts bears the design of Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard of the studio of the same name. The Monte Carlo 76 Skylounge offers liveability and on-board security throughout the hull. Although it may seem “closed” and more focused on the interior at first glance, the exterior spaces are many, spacious and protected. The large windows also maintain a solid contact with the surrounding environment, the sea. Thanks to the presence of a large additional volume constituted by the closed Flybridge, without giving up the many outdoor areas.
