The flagship of the Lazio shipyard Tornado Yachts begins a new life, or rather two, with the birth of the Tornado 50s T-Top and the Tornado 50s Hard Top. This double version of the boat was created to meet the demands of the market that sees closed boats preferred over the open, so as to have boats that can be enjoyed in all seasons, even the coldest, without forgetting the foreign markets where the climate is more rigid.
Starting from the needs mentioned above, the first version offers a T-Top that does not distort the philosophy of the shipyard that focuses on a design “flush deck” of the yacht, evolution of the first achievements of the shipyard.
The second version features a more protective Hard Top, whose lines are inspired by the classic Tornado diamond windshield. In this mode, the possibilities for use even in the coldest seasons and in the most adverse climates are further increased.
Below the waterline, the living work remains the new generation that Tornado Yachts has designed together with the Volvo Penta technical office, optimised for the two 600 HP Volvo Penta D8-IPS 800s that equip the yacht and guarantee reduced consumption at a maximum speed of 40 knots.
The flagship boat of the Lazio shipyard has been renewed with the collaboration between the Tornado Yachts shipyard and the Dynaship Yacht Design studio from which the two new versions of the Tornado 50s were born: the Tornado 50s T-Top and the Tornado 50s Hard Top. Tornado Yachts and Dynaship Yacht Design have joined forces to create two new projects involving two versions of the Tornado 50s, the flagship of the Lazio shipyard presented in a new guise at the last Genoa International Boat Show.
Dynaship Yacht Design has developed the two new projects together with the MB Marine of the engineer Pierluigi Mimmocchi, who deals with the engineering and naval architecture of all the new generation Tornado yachts.
