Tuccoli Marine wins €9 million contract for Carabinieri’s Underwater Unit

Tuccoli Marine proudly announces the award of an order worth 9 million euros to build six patrol boats for the Carabinieri’s Diving Unit, an important milestone that strengthens the company’s positioning in the professional boat sector. Founded in 1956, Tuccoli continues to innovate in the nautical sector with a range from sport fishing boats to professional means for safety and work at sea. The contract was awarded through a negotiated procedure called by the General Command of the Carabinieri Corps, in which seven companies participated. Tuccoli Marine prevailed due to the strength of its production capacity, its long experience in the industry and the high level of technological innovation of its vessels.

Technology and specialization in the service of security

The new patrol boats, built of reinforced fiberglass and 15.5 meters long, will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology for underwater operations in the open sea: ROV systems for inspecting the seabed, cranes for recovering underwater cargo, recharging for diving tanks, and a fold-down swim platform for divers to enter the water. The expected completion time for each unit is about 9-10 months.

The order also represents an important recognition for Tuccoli Professional, an in-house division dedicated to the design and construction of vessels for public agencies, armed forces and maritime authorities. Tuccoli Professional’s activities are developed in three main areas: Pilot & Passengers, Mooring Ecology and Defense & Rescue.

Steady growth in the public and security sector

During 2024, Tuccoli Professional delivered a new unit to the Upper Garda Fire Department and started production of additional vehicles for rescue operations. In addition, the company won a tender issued by ARPAL Liguria, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. We are proud of this important achievement, which is the result of the hard work and dedication of our team. The awarding of this order represents a fundamental step in the growth of Tuccoli Marine and in the diversification of our production, which places professional boats alongside pleasure boats “, stated theCEO of Tuccoli Marine Paolo Sanguettola.
