Villa d'este special
Tullio Abbate Yachts – Villa d’Este Special

For those who grew up with a passion for speedboats, knowing that the boatyard Tullio Abbate Yachts is more alive than ever is wonderful news. Over the past few years, boating has experienced some very exciting times. New brands by the dozens have sprung up. Now it is the turn of a legendary Italian brand like Tullio Abbate Yachts to take back center stage.

Tullio Abbate Yachts

Top performance. The Abbate shipyard is one that has written pages and pages of fast boat history. A history that has continued even after the passing of founder Tullio Abbate Senior in 2020. After an initial settling-in phase, Tullio Abbate Junior, son of the founder, is now at the forefront of the company’s management. Working alongside him is a team of young professionals who, together with the historic group of workers and collaborators who have grown up with the company over the years, are bringing innovation to both the company and the boats. A concrete example are the latest two projects with hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell motorization, developed in collaboration with important industry partners.

The new generation

In practice, what boats are we talking about? The Harmony 28′ model was launched last year, and currently two new ones are already under construction and should be in the water in about a month. It is the successor to the legendary Offshore 27 and Elite 28 and designed to perform at its best in all conditions. The design remains true to the shipyard’s historic lines and is a fully customizable hull, including in the motorization where both single and twin engines can be had, with sterndrive or outboard options with an achievable maximum speed of 60 knots.

Then, a new model of Miss Villa d’Este was also born, completely custom, like all boats, currently in the assembly stages, flagship of the classics of the shipyard. This model will go to the Spanish market, which, like France, Greece and the whole of Switzerland with its Alpine lakes, is one of the yard’s target countries.

Over the years, the yard’s hulls have managed to win over many members of the international jet set. Gilles Villeneuve, Bernie Ecclestone, and Gianni Versace are some of the names of personalities who chose these boats and became clients and friends of Tullio Abbate. A production that still fascinates. Today, the classics of the offshore line include the Elite 27, the Mito 33R, and the Mito 42, which will later be joined by new ideas and projects being developed and implemented.
