The Aquila42 Yacht andAquila 36 Sport, two of the most interesting catamarans from the AquilaPower Catamarans brand, distributed in Italy by FC-Yacht, will be on display from April 30 to May 4 at the Sardinia Nautical Fair to be held at the Marina di Porto Rotondo. Here’s what these models look like.

TheAquila 36 Sport has an overall length of 10.96 meters with the aft platform, but it can also be used as a watercraft, without registration. In any case, climbing aboard, it is immediately clear that there is far more space than on a classic 11-meter boat. Carlo Orione, managing director of FC-Yacht, speaks of “a habitability of a 44′.” What is not fully understood, looking only at the numbers, is that there is a lot of space, but the boat is all in all compact. The width is 4.45 meters, but what is convincing is the management of this beam. Imagine a bowrider (with hard-top) XL and equipped with a galley, refrigerator and sink. This catamaran is equipped with two Mercury outboard engines of 300 hp each.

TheAquila 42 Yacht is a cruising motor catamaran that can accommodate up to 24 people on board, we had told you about it here in detail. With the configuration featuring 4 double cabins and 3 bathrooms spread over two hulls and a central tunnel this catamaran acquires unparalleled comfort and absolute privacy for 8 people. All enclosed in an overall length of only 12.64 meters, with a maximum beam of 6.40 meters, comparable to that of a similarly sized monohull. Propulsion, in this case, comes from a pair of Volvo Penta D4 turbodiesels with 320 hp each.

Charter in Sardinia and Greece or purchase?

FC-Yacht, part of the Free-Charter Group, offers these two Aquila catamarans (and many more) for charter in Sardinia and Greece, at its bases in Cagliari, Costa Smeralda and Athens. For those who wish to become owners, FC-Yacht presents innovative formulas such as the Try-to-Buy (you rent the boat and, if you like it and want to buy it, the cost of the charter is discounted) or the Rent-to-Buy, which allows you to keep the boat available for ten weeks a year by paying a down payment and a monthly installment, while in the other weeks the boat is managed by Free-Charter. Another option is the Guaranteed Annuity, which allows you to become an owner after four years (by paying a down payment and a deposit) thanks to the early recognition of revenues generated by the summer charter.

  • To learn more about purchasing formulas find FC Yacht at the Sardinia Nautical Fair from April 30 to May 4.
