Above the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Coupe. Below the Beneteau Antares 9

Among Groupe Beneteau’s most interesting novelties for 2025 are undoubtedly these two powerboats. On the one hand we have of the Antares 9, a vessel that renews Beneteau’s previous and well-known model. On the other is the Merry Fisher 1295 Coupe, 13 meters pushed with outboard engines that represents the new generation of cruisers according to Jeanneau. We tested both of them in the waters of Cannes and tell you about all their main aspects from layout to performance to, finally, price.

Beneteau Antares 9

A versatile, modern vessel with attention to detail as seen in the video. This is what is most appreciated about this compact 9-meter: it has a hull length, in fact, of 8 meters. Suitable in size and handling even for a family, it has contained but versatile interior spaces, capable of potentially accommodating up to 5 people. There is also room for a separate bathroom with shower. How does it navigate, what does it look like, and how much does it cost? Watch the video, we explain it all.

We go up in size and take a seat aboard what is a dream boat for those who want to take to the sea and perhaps do some slightly longer cruises.

Don’t be fooled by the name, Merry Fisher.

“Ceci n’est pas un fisherman!” to paraphrase the famous painting by Belgian painter Magritte. This is not a fishing boat. Indeed, the new Merry Fisher generation is practically all about cruising or adventure boats, such as the “little” 895 Sport.

After seeing them in succession, the Antares 9 in the video above, and this Merry Fisher, it will still be easy to get an idea about the abundance of volume in the second model. Of course, we’re talking about a 9-meter and a 13-meter, so hulls that don’t make much sense to compare. The mode of use, however, is all in all the same: the outboard motorization allows for interesting cue when there is to push on the gas, but at the same time at cruising speed the fuel consumption remains quite low. Spaces on board are very abundant, as is extremely livable the entire deck and the large central salon, which is protected and, at the same time, bright.
