Our review of must-see boats and inflatable boats in 2025 continues. Today we are giving you a preview of something really special.A fishing craft that combines the seaworthiness of an inflatable boat and the space of a boat. How is this possible? We will see it very shortly at the Boot Dusseldorf 2025 (January 19 to 26) where Uniko 34 will be presented. It is a new Italian inflatable boat, as its name implies, one of a kind.

Uniko 34 BFF

Designed by architect Paolo Savoca, it will be the debut model of the new shipyard BFF Yachts, a Catania-based company founded by Pietro Bottino, a Sicilian entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical sector who is a great fishing enthusiast, and who wanted to offer the market a no-compromise vessel with decidedly interesting features.

Despite a length of “only” 10.33 m (at the limit of the vessel threshold depending on hull length) Uniko 34 can be counted among maxi-ribs for the space it offers on board. In this regard, it helps a lot with the dedicated fishing deck layout, which is particularly free to facilitate movement.

But what immediately jumps out at you is the huge cockpit (9.5 sq m) that is created by opening the side rails. This feature, which is no longer news for boats anymore, is instead a real exclusive on a dinghy of this size. And while we have always been accustomed to seeing it as an aesthetic and “tourist” quirk, in this case it has a specific utility for the fisherman, who will be able to get directly to the water without any obstacles.

An inflatable boat designed for fishing

Another interesting solution is having managed to integrate the housing for the electric bow motor, an essential accessory for countless fishing techniques, directly into the bow structure. A choice of both beauty and safety, which eliminates the unsightly “propeller tube” of position motors housed above the bow tubes.

There is also no shortage of all the more classic accessories of these dedicated setups: battle station, 29 rod holders, live and catch tanks, as many as 4 screens for the various Raymarine instruments, and 2 5.40 m carbon divergents.

Of course, UNIKO 34 does not compromise on performance either, given its intended heavy use, potentially in challenging weather conditions. Minimum motorization is a pair of 250 hp outboards, to reach a maximum of 400 each, to exceed 60 knots. The fuel tank is 500 l, to ensure outings on the high seas.

Expectations, therefore, can only be high for a vehicle that aims to satisfy a niche market that is particularly demanding in all respects: aesthetics, functionality and safety.
