Used boats: GALEON 290

Born in a Polish shipyard, despite its small size, it has well-utilized interior volumes and correct deck spaces. It is an easily manageable and undemanding boat for undertaking first cruises.

This model from the Polish shipyard Galeon is designed for those boaters who want to embark on their first medium-range cruises on a boat that is undemanding in handling. Small on the outside, but good-sized on the inside, it is able to provide proper comfort for a crew of two, possibly accompanied by a child. Significant deadwork and superstructure also enabled the site to achieve interior heights of no less than 187 cm.

COVER

Stepping aboard, one is greeted by a 4 sq. m. aft beach, typical of larger boats. Equally expansive is the cockpit, which is furnished with a locker bench extended over the starboard broadside and by a splashback attached to the transom. Particularly easy is the ascent to the fly by means of a ladder made of counter molding and well designed so as not to clutter the cockpit. A central wheelhouse with pilot’s chair and, behind him, a sunbathing area incorporating a fold-down settee are located on the fly. The square houses, to the left, a comfortable C-shaped dinette for four people. In front is the kitchen while the refrigerator is in the base of the pilot seat. There is good visibility from the wheelhouse for both navigation and maneuvering.

INTERIOR

Dedicated to sleeping, the lower deck offers a forward cabin with a French berth arranged by beam, served by a toilet room complete with toilet, sink and shower, with access from the companionway. From here there is also access to a second berth made aft under the dinette. Above, the exterior design appears well balanced. Above, from left, the layout of the two decks, a view of the saloon, and the spacious cockpit with the convenient entrance.

Current price on the used boat market between 85,000€ and 115,000€ depending on condition.
