It’s Thursday and as usual here we are with the review on hulls for sale in the classified section of the magazine (
you can find them all here
). This time we move from the boat for living aboard to the boat for getting started. In between is a speedboat perfect for the Mediterranean. In short, three boats really for all tastes and needs.
The house on the water 12 m
Our classifieds section features a boat that for those looking for a “home on the water” may be worth a look. It is a 12-meter long boat with six beds, three-burner kitchen, two bathrooms, and oven, microwave, refrigerator, water heater, hifi. In short, everything you need to take long cruises without regretting anything you have at home. The style is that of the “old school” trawler, the ideal boat for cruising the world in even tough weather conditions given the “offshore fishing boat” fabric from which these models were derived. Built in 1976, it has undergone several maintenance sessions, the last one again in 2018. This 42-footer is moored in Poltu Quatu, Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, and it is possible to visit and try it out by appointment.
A powerboat for all seasons – 14 m
A 2003 speedboat perfect for the Mediterranean. Yes, the Sealine S48 is the typical open with spaces inside and out that one enjoys in summer, but becomes a home on the water in winter. To be fair on the used market, among the hulls of the historic German brand this is one of the most sought after. Protected outdoor cockpit, large bow sundeck, large interior volumes with two double cabins and two bathrooms.
Features include a kitchen, stove and refrigerator, ceramic hob, and an indoor refrigerator. The model now displayed in our classifieds section is also quite powerful with two 480hp Volvo Penta shaftlines, a rather classic configuration, but one that allows it to touch speeds in excess of 30 knots.
The first boat – 6 m
Do you want to approach the sea for the first time and don’t know where to start? This model (with license) is the one that may be right for you. If you are totally unfamiliar with the boating license is definitely useful for learning the basics. Once you get past this first “turnaround,” a boat that is not too powerful, but not too little either, is ideal for learning about navigation and, above all, having fun. Having finished this preamble, let’s get down to business. Among the boats in the classifieds section is a 6-meter Jeanneau Merryfisher 625HB (outboard). Cabin cruiser, with a double berth, is a small pilot boat that as a type of boat may suit those who want to take their first steps.
