A used boat is a great way to start learning about the wonderful world of the sea. Especially in the first outings, having a small hull helps to get the hang of it. From our classifieds section we therefore pulled out two Italian open boats of limited size (6-7 meters) a bit for all uses ranging from classic swimming to fishing and, why not, even a weekend getaway. As we scrolled through, however, we also noticed that there was one of the most popular models in recent years: a 38-foot Pardo walkaround. So we collected these three all-Italian opens that you can find recounted below.

USED BOATS.

Saver Manta 600

Let’s go in order of size. This Saver is a 6-meter open with a clear fishing setup. In fact, at the stern, the cockpit all open to the sea makes it ideal for moving freely. At the same time in the bow it has a good-sized sundeck that also allows you to enjoy the sun. Of course, the figure at which it is offered is low, indeed, but the advertiser also offers the possibility of a sea trial. On her side she has a fairly new engine (a Suzuki 140 from June 2023) with 150 hours of sailing time and various accessories including a double awning that allows for deck shade and an auxiliary engine.

Aquabat Sport infinity 750

We go up slightly in size, but with a whole different type of boat. This Aquabat is a compact weekender suitable for a couple with space below deck (a cabin with separate bathroom) that also works well for going for a swim or a longer outing with the whole family. The aft cockpit becomes a large convivial area or sundeck that complements the forward cockpit. This example has a 2017 225-horsepower Honda engine with 200 hours of use, but also various other options including a galley with a fire and sink, refrigerator and electric toilet, as well as no less than two awnings. Included in the price in this case are full winter tarps, a summer one, and a new construction trailer.

Pardo 38

Buckle up, we’re going up. Here we enter luxury boating, and Cantiere del Pardo with the Pardo Yachts brand has set the standard in this respect. The 38 is the shipyard’s smallest hull, but that is not why we can call it an entry-level. It is an open with two cabins below deck and a bathroom, two 300-horsepower Mercurys, joystick maneuvering and Skyhook, an anchor system that holds the boat steady even without giving anchor. Of the Pardo 38 we have seen extreme versions, such as this 900-horsepower one for the penultimate edition of the America’s Cup. In the article you will find some links to more information about this model.
