Our review of used boats continues. Today we look at a great classic like the Scarab 30 Sport from Wellcraft, an American shipyard. In Wellcraft’s line of sport fishermen, the Scarab 30 Sport was born as a performance model in the hull with powerful motoring aft. Providing range is an extremely large fuel tank for a boat just 9 meters long.

From fishing to family cruising
In the bow are two single berths, which can be joined via a central shelf, while two sofas have found their place outside, forming a living area that can be converted into a sundeck via a central extension. The ideal way to turn a fishing open into a boat for going swimming with the family. To allow for better use of the cockpit, this model has a forward cockpit console and a wide bow dedicated to stowage.
Power and comfort
The off-center pilot station on the starboard side made room for a bar cabinet, with sink, dish rack, alcohol or electric fire, and a large drawer refrigerator, on the opposite broadside. A bathroom room with toilet and shower was then created inside the console. All this without sacrificing the peculiarity of boats signed Wellcraft: we therefore have a particularly high-performance hull, able to make the most of the 600 horsepower that can be installed with dual outboard motors. To ensure good cruising range here is the fuel tank, capable of holding up to a maximum of 1090 liters of gasoline.
