Skipper Collection – Nautical Clothing
An Italian company in Asola has designed, developed and produced a line of clothing that fully respects all these characteristics. What’s more, he did it in an environmentally sustainable production facility that uses only renewable energy and recovers all textile waste, even microplastics. It is called UYN, an acronym for Unleash Your Nature, and will introduce the new Skipper line at the Genoa International Boat Show 2022.
Skipper Collection – 9 garments for men and women
UYN is a leading manufacturer of technical apparel for a variety of sports, such as cycling, running and winter sports, but its debut in the nautical world was at the last Genoa Boat Show, when the brand unveiled its first boat shoe. The upper of the Skipper shoe is made seamlessly using a bio-based yarn derived from castor oil, Natex. This fiber is extremely breathable, very elastic and produces a natural antibacterial effect. In contrast, the U-Control outsole with EVA midsole provides grip. From its success with the shoe UYN has developed a complete clothing line consisting of 9 garments.
The collection is available in different colors for men and women. The first layer garments are the T-shirt and the two breathable and lightweight polo shirts. The three-dimensional Haloflex structure prevents the formation of moisture by keeping body temperature constant. Mid-layers include the technical sweatshirt, available with a full-length zipper and without a zipper, which fits snugly to the body and does not soak when wet. Instead, for the last layer UYN offers the ultra-light and water-resistant windproof vest and jacket. Finally, the special packable design of the garments allows them to be resealed in the pocket. Closing out the collection are an ultra-lightweight cotton shorts and one made of technical fabric that is very resistant to rubbing, especially in the reinforced buttocks area.
