In 2021 Valentino Rossi will have a new yacht of almost 27 meters, a Sanlorenzo X88 with which the MotoGP champion is preparing to enjoy the sea for a while. Looking at the kind of boat it seems that the Italian racer is ready to leave the moorings for some long cruises, but for now there are not many details. The only thing certain so far is that Valentino Rossi attended the launch of the Sanlorenzo X88 by videoconference. The official delivery is scheduled for May after the technical tests and the last stages of the outfitting.
The starting price of this yacht is about 4.5 million, but the version chosen by Valentino Rossi should cost more according to some rumors. How? Thanks to a series of optional extras and custom solutions requested to Sanlorenzo.
New yacht for Valentino Rossi – Sanlorenzo X88
The Sanlorenzo X88 is a yacht that aims at long navigation. It is part of Sanlorenzo’s Crossover generation that focuses on endless space on board. An example is given by the huge platform at the stern, to accommodate any type of tender, up to the bridge, positioned on the flybridge, to make the main deck as wide as possible.
With an overall length of 26.7 meters and a width of 7.20 meters, it is a yacht designed for exploring, also thanks to a 9,300-liter fuel tank. In short, Valentino Rossi’s yacht is made to experience the sea at its best. The draft at full load is about 1.70 meters. This explorer attitude is combined with the elegance that characterizes the Sanlorenzo brand. Maximum speed? 23 knots powered by three Volvo Penta IPS 1050 (800 hp). On board can be accommodated up to 8 people to which are added three berths for the crew.
