When it comes to a VanDutch there is never any doubt. Cantiere del Pardo, owner of the Holland-based brand, launches a new model: the VanDutch 56. This 17-meter yacht fills the gap between the 48 and 75-footers already in the range. The style is simply unique: in one word, VanDutch.
VanDutch 56
The lines are essential, almost minimalist, but the boat is rich in content. Starting from the build quality (made in Italy) to the comfort on deck and below deck, not forgetting the performance. As always, each owner has plenty of scope for customisation, starting with the range of fabrics and colours, both for the cushions, for example, and for the hull itself. Let’s see how it is designed.
VanDutch 56 – Deck
The boat’s strength is, of course, the deck. This area focuses on comfort and liveability in a versatile way. The backrests of the aft sundeck allow you to make the most of this area and are adjustable to relax even on shorter cruises. The L-shaped sofas in the cockpit overlook a central table and provide an ideal space for breakfast, lunch, aperitifs and dinner on board.
VanDutch 56 – Below deck
The interiors of the VD 56 are offered in two different layouts:
- The “lounge” layout allows the boat to be experienced as a large open space where a U-shaped sofa with central table is located in the bow. In the stern, on the port side, there is a linear galley with all mod cons, set against an L-shaped sofa.
- Designed for anyone looking for greater privacy, the “sleep” version allows for a real owner’s cabin with a double bed in the bow. This second layout features an L-shaped sofa and a linear galley in the aft part of the interior, with the possibility of adding a second cabin with a single bed.
VanDutch 56 – Propulsion and Equipment
Two elements are needed to provide maximum comfort, performance and manoeuvrability: integrated electronics and engines. For this reason, the VanDutch 56 takes advantage of Garmin Marine’s EmpireBus technology, which makes it possible to manage and control all the boat’s data via two 16-inch displays. At the same time it is possible to coordinate the entire automation of the boat with these instruments. What does automation on a boat consist of? Starting with programming the switching on of the lights, the audio system and the air conditioner.
The VanDutch 56 is also be the first model to introduce the Volvo Penta IPS engine, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and ease of use thanks to all the features of this solution. The VD 56 will have in its standard configuration two 800 IPS or as optional two 950 IPS.
