We have already had a chance to tell you a preview of what the new Mylius M47P looks like. This time, however, we go a little deeper. It is a 15-meter Italian powerboat with unmistakable lines and high performance, capable of reaching close to 60 knots. In this video, we will focus on the secrets of this boat: what it looks like, how its hull is designed, and finally what its price is.
Mylius M47P: extreme design
Let’s start with aesthetics, perhaps the most noticeable feature of Mylius M47P even to the layman’s eye, especially if at the stern your eye fell on the four Mercury outboards with 500 horsepower each. A streamlined, sporty design that makes it sleek. This design is not just an end in itself, but plays an important role in the pursuit of speed. Such streamlined lines improve the coefficient of finesse. A good ratio of length to width, combined with two steps in the hull, optimize the speed capabilities. The superstructure, thus connected, reduces friction with the air, which is not negligible at those speeds.
Power at will
But no matter how far we go to the limit in designing the forms, there can obviously be no shortage of good power equipment, in this case guaranteed by no less than 2,000 hp in four Mercury Racing outboard engines of 500 hp each. Holding up such cavalry also requires a sturdy structure, guaranteed by vacuum infusion in epoxy resin, a rare feature.
A comfortable boat
Despite its racing vocation, Mylius M47P remains an excellent boat for less adrenaline-fueled outings as well, thanks to a high cruising speed, which can be reached in total comfort, and extended trips, being able to count on 4 berths in 2 cabins, one forward and one aft, both served by a separate private bathroom, another treat on this type of unit.
How much does the new Mylius cost
We have seen (also in the video) what this new Mylius looks like. It’s time to see the price. How much does it cost? The price is from 1.3 million, excluding vat.
