Objective? Understanding boats, starting with the basics and getting to the fundamental questions:

– How can I consume less?
– How to gain a few extra knots?
– What are the secrets to navigating safely?
– Propellers, which one to choose?
– The trim, cone to use it?
… and much more.

The boater’s handbook:

In short, a handbook-simple and intuitive-to understand the boat in order to conduct it in the best possible way, but also to choose the one that is tasty at the time of purchase.

What do we start with? From the basics of course, in this first episode we’ll talk about hulls:“Why Boats Float.
“Displacement and planing, a difference in state, and not just shapes.”
There will also be“The Engineer’s Minute,” but don’t worry nothing too complicated (we’ll talk about “Mr. Froude and critical moment)

There will be an in-depth look at one basic thing: wavelengths: wavelength, over all, hull and buoyancy.

Fairings, but not only…

In the next 2 episodes of I’ll explain the boat we will delve into the topic of hulls, talking about:

  • Dihedral angles, skids, redan…
  • Displacement, planing, semi-displacement and flying: merits and demerits.

We will then move on to talk about thrusters (3 installments), and propellers (3 installments).
A long journey, then, to understand the “numbers” of one’s boat, to improve its performance, but also to guide the way to purchase or refit.

And for the Genoa Boat Show, a special live episode on our channels and those of Suzuki Marine Italy.
