Is it time to change the outboard for the tender, but you don’t know what choice to make? Are you undecided whether to stick with the endothermic or, maybe try an electric? Today we show you two electric outboards for the tender from Remigo, ultra-compact motors that impressed us with their technical features.

RemigoOne

The first is RemigoOne and is a 1000-watt electric motor (comparable to a 3 HP) so thought out. First, it has a monolithic aluminum and watertight body that includes both motor, batteries and the torpedo for the propeller. It has a decidedly low weight (12 kg total, plus 2 kg for attachment) and is also easy to transport thanks to a specially designed bag.

Easy to assemble

You just position it and go. No wires and cables, because everything is built in. You just set it aft and you are ready to go.

Autonomy and charging

This is the most popular question: how long does it take to charge? Zero to 220 in 3 hours (rapid) or 6 hours (standard); 12 hours at 12 volts.

And how long do you sail for? Range is 15 miles at cruising speed (30 in eco, 5 at maximum).

  • Perfect for tenders (the engine itself acts as a rudder) than for small boats, up to about 8/9 m, where it gets stuck in the middle and the direction is given by the boat’s rudder.

RemigoNeo

The new RemigoNeo restarts from all this, but in addition offers a 1500-watt Boost that brings total power to about 4 HP. Even more interesting, however, is an accessory that Remigo has launched along with the Neo-and which is also compatible for RemigoOne: a dual control that can be both bar and remote (with Bluetooth connection)… Full details on use and performance in our video.
