When looking at a new superyacht, or boat for that matter, one is often inclined to look primarily at the lines, volumes, and furniture and layout choices that characterize its design. Yet even the little things, the ones that are least seen, are ultimately crucial. Think of electrical systems, home automation and control panels. Key elements not only for the management of systems, but also for the experience of them. An example that we sometimes find in our homes as well, perhaps with switches that are poorly-positioned, or that clash with the context… That’s why Absolute Yachts, for its flagship, Navetta 75, opted to turn to one of the specialists in the field, Made in Italy of course: Vimar.
Vimar: for home automation and electrical solutions.
With the Navetta 75, Absolute Yachts’ goal was clearly to create a flagship at the top of the range, a hull capable of representing the pinnacle of the shipyard’s capabilities. On board, as a result, it encapsulates all of the brand’s most representative features, from stylistic language to technological inventiveness. An attention to detail that necessarily had to see all the details involved, which is why Vimar’s Eikon series came into play, which is a customizable system of plates and room management devices (from lights to controls) that not only optimizes the user experience, but also integrates the elements, simultaneously making them elegant and prominent details.
Tailored solutions
In fact, Vimar is a manufacturer of a wide range of products that moves from switches to control systems, from smart systems to plant infrastructure, but with a plus. The entire production is largely customizable, adaptable to distinct contexts and can be manufactured ad hoc.
An example of a Vimar control panelComposed of a wide range of sockets, in this case, the Eikon series combines customization with safety, comfort and practicality, meeting international requirements and standards (key to adapting to standards). An example reflected in the magnetothermal differential circuit breakers found on the Navetta 75, life-saving devices that protect the electronic components present. But the application of the series covers all on-board elements, from sockets to power electronic devices to single-pole pushbuttons for controlling light intensity, to systems for controlling motorized blackout blinds.
Each on-board electrical appliance, in short, dresses up the Eikon model, taking advantage of the custom silk-screening on the controls to simultaneously provide easy identification of functions on an element that, in turn, blends seamlessly into the aesthetic landscape of inclusion.
