But what lines-how can you not turn around when you see a boat like that? We don’t. It’s that mix of classic, the shapes of the stern, the sleek bow. In short, the Wajer 55 is different from most of the hulls we see out there. Her design is by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design studio and she is available in as many as three versions: open, with hard top or center console.
The design philosophy focuses everything on ease of use through cutting-edge solutions: innovation is literally at your fingertips, allowing you to manage everything with a few simple touches thanks to home automation. To complete the work, the use of fine materials and obsessive attention to detail restore a feeling of superior craftsmanship that can be felt at first glance. Life on board is enhanced by numerous technological gadgets, such as retractable fenders with automated movement, retractable tables on the main deck, or the anchor with a special electric mechanism that rotates it off the bow in seconds.
Wajer 55, however, is not only aesthetics and technology, but also practicality. From the helm station to the stern, where there is a retractable swim platform that doubles as a gangway, the boat is cut in two by a passageway that separates the 2 chaise longue seats and the two C-shaped sofas located on the bulwarks and “served” by two small tables that retract into the dunnage.
The center console is embellished with Garmin touch monitors, which are used by the captain to keep an eye on the boat’s vital parameters and course; there are four seats, two on each side, made of carbon and with ergonomic seating. The entire area, on the standard and hard top versions, is embraced by a very large windshield that protects the occupants from splashes and air. The center console model, on the other hand, has a windshield that is less wraparound on the sides to allow more space and freedom of movement.
What the interior looks like
The Wajer 55 was designed as a luxury yacht tender, but should you decide to extend your outing and spend the night at anchor, the Wajer 55’s interior proves cozy. Going below deck leads to a fully equipped galley, complete with stove, refrigerator, ice maker and coffee maker.
The sleeping area is designed to ensure maximum relaxation: the master cabin houses a full-size double bed, while the aft cabin offers two single beds where mirrored walls cleverly amplify the perception of space. Completing the layout, a bathroom equipped with a shower ensures privacy and regeneration at all times of the day. The lines are all curves, with no sharp edges, and the soft lighting matches well with the warm tones of the woods used and the fabrics.
Engines
Wajer envisions a standard motorization with three Volvo Penta D6 IPSs of 440 hp each, but recommends the installation of three IPS 650s of 480 hp each: with this motorization, cruising speed is around 28 knots, with a consumption of about 150 liters per hour and a top speed of 38 knots.
