After its record-breaking debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival (here all the best boats), the Wallytender 48 sets out to attend the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the FLIBS, scheduled from 30 October to 3 November. Now we’ll see the impact of this new Wally yacht, which for the first time will be at this show with the Ferretti Group, whose presence in America is well established.

Wally, new Wallytender 48 on the American market

Born as a tender, this boat has “betrayed” its name going to carve out a space for runabouts, a boat for day trips and short cruises. At the same time Wallytender 48 don’t forget what she was born for: to be the tender of superyachts and villas pieds dans l’eau. The Wallytender 48 is also a “transformer boat” with the aft side sections of the boat that drop to the sides – a way to have more space on board when you’re at anchor without ruining your performance.

Combining the legacy of teak deck sailing culture with carbon fibre elements and accessories, a material introduced to the nautical world by Wally in 1991, the Wallytender 48 offers an elegant suite with generous interior volumes, winning the challenge of raising the freeboard without affecting the lines of the hull. Another important standard feature is the retractable gangway, which turns into a practical ladder to access the sea.

Engine

The standard motorisation has two Volvo IPS 650 for a total of 960 hp, for a maximum speed of 38 knots, and is equipped with a practical joystick for easy mooring.
