With the wallypower 50 (14.6 x 4.3 m) unveiled at the last boot in Düsseldorf, Wally merges the best of the wallytender range and its big brother wallypower 58 into a smaller boat. In fact, the shipyard designed this boat with multiple souls: from day cruiser to weekender, from tender to chaseboat. This is what it looks like.
The multifaceted exteriors of the wallypower 50
Let’s start with the design, which echoes Wally’s classic look and feel, with square, essential lines emphasizing an overall elegance that distinguishes both the wallytender range and the yard’s other boats. The watchword aboard the wallypower 50 is “transformability.” In fact, the spaces can be adapted to the different needs of those on board, from those on deck to those below deck. Emblematic in this regard is the aft area, with the flush bathing platform that extends the space lengthwise, and the two folding bulwarks that add so much space laterally as well (up to 6 meters of beam). Thus the beach area that is created manages to accommodate the two separate double sunbeds and still advances livable space all around.
Continuing toward the bow we find ourselves in the area covered by the hard top, with comfortable and protected in-line and L-shaped seating serving the expandable table. The dashboard with the wheelhouse is located on the left side, with two futuristic pilot and co-pilot chairs, two large multifunctional instruments, and all the latest electronic instrumentation. On the right side, however, is the tambour and tunnel leading to the interior. On either side of the hard top are the two walkways leading to the bow area. There is really a lot of livable space here, with the deck almost flush to accommodate large sunbathing areas.
Wallypower 50: Interior
Going below deck, elegance reigns supreme, with a (very large) center bed cabin and plenty of closet and storage space. We find a small seating area with kitchenette, on one side is then the table, and on the opposite side is a small convertible sofa for two people. Just down the steps we find the full bathroom with separate shower stall.
Motorization
The wallypower 50 is powered by two IPS 650 engines by Volvo Penta, a guarantee in terms of reliability and power. Thanks to this motorization, the boat can reach 36 knots as a top speed, and 30 as a cruising speed.
For those seeking the ultimate in performance, here is the wallypower50X. Offered in two variants, each with four Mercury outboard motors, the wallypower50X multiplies the Wally factor and delivers a truly intense experience. The version with four 400-horsepower engines can reach a maximum speed of 48 knots with a range of 240 nautical miles. If the four 500-horsepower thrusters are chosen, the wallypower50X is capable of speeding at over 50 knots.
If you are looking for the ultimate in power and performance, with the wallypower50x version comes a lot of added horsepower. It is offered in two variants, the first with four outboard motors of 400 total horsepower and a top speed of 48 knots, and the second with 500 total horsepower and a top speed exceeding 50 knots.
