Ferretti Group has acquired Wally and the deal is already paying off. A short period of partnership and now the brand founded by Luca Bassani is entirely owned by Ferretti (click here to learn more) that all the reasons to rejoice: there are already three Wallytender 48 sold, ahead of the world market presentation scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019.Â
Ferretti will invest 84 million euros divided between 2019 and 2020, to develop and grow the brand. The first results are already beginning to show. The teak deck with carbon fiber elements and accessories are the trademarks of Wally who introduced them to the nautical world by Wally in 1991. The 48 Wallytender offers an elegant suite with large interior volumes. The freeboard is high to increase space, but does not spoil the purity of the hull, tapered and fast boat lines.
Outdoor spaces are characterized by comfort and relaxation with comfortable seating, sunbathing and an outdoor dining area served by a fully equipped kitchen. The 48 Wallytender offers standard equipment aft side sections of the boat that can be folded down on both sides.Â
From the retractable gangway, which turns into a practical ladder to access the sea to the underground anchorage system housed in the forepeak, everything is within reach.  The black fender that surrounds the entire hull is a practical solution to simplify the manoeuvres and typical style of the Wallytender.
The standard motorisation has two Volvo IPS 650 for a total of 960 hp, for a maximum speed of 38 knots, and is equipped with a practical joystick for easy mooring.
Wally Tender is one of the key models of the shipyard, a trademark from which Ferretti also decided to leave for the first coordinated “work”. Wally is the creator of the concept of the mega tender: luxury tenders for superyachts that can also be considered independent boats in all respects. The mega tender as a boat is one of what we have called Med Boat.
