Let’s take a closer look at the new Wellcraft 38 T-Top, an 11.65-meter powerboat, the latest from the American shipyard now part of the Beneteau Group.

Wellcraft 38 T-Top

Wellcraft powerboat enthusiasts know it well. In recent years, we have seen the brand go for the trend of adventure boats, the fast, cabin cruiser exploration boats, starting with the Wellcraft 355.

With the 38 T-top, on the other hand, there is a sort of return to the basics, to the purest essence of the sporty, very American center-console and somewhere between party boat and fishing boat. In both cases there are two central themes: space on board and seaworthiness. Let’s see what they have come up with this time at Wellcraft.

The boat for fun

Whether you’re a fisherman, ski-nautical enthusiast, party-goer, or people who just want to have fun, this hull needs to be watched.

  • For wakeboarding: has ample storage space and a superior tow point for activities such as wakeboarding or water skiing. The cockpit lounge offers a spacious and very comfortable social area with a folding broadside to starboard that expands the cockpit even further.
  • For fishing: with specific features such as rod holders and livewell. In the two wide cockpits, the tables, being modular, allow for the right layout as needed throughout the day.
  • For days at the beach with family and friends: one only has to look at the pictures to see that the size of the cockpit is truly remarkable and allows for many people to be accommodated in comfort.

The aft cockpit lounge is among the largest in its class. There is room on board for a grill kitchen and spacious refrigerators.

Engines of the new Wellcraft

Equipped with two or three outboard engines, she reaches 50 knots. The three-person dashboard provides an intuitive driving experience, with perfectly positioned controls and two 16-inch MFD screens for maximum situational awareness.
