Yanmar Marine International has unveiled its new system called E-Key. Designed to provide an even more comfortable and hassle-free boating experience, this solution integrates seamlessly with Yanmar Marine’s electronically controlled engines and VC20 series boat and engine control system.
Yanmar E-Key: a system that simplifies and speeds up on-board operations
At the heart of the Yanmar E-Key system is an elegant, lightweight tag designed to fit conveniently in the owner’s key ring. Each tag has a unique ID that enables direct wireless communication with the Yanmar boat command and control system. Activating the system is as simple as flipping a switch, and it offers an added convenience to speed up engine unlocking and locking, so that you can start every sea voyage with ease and peace of mind. In addition, the system does not fear mechanical problems (such as classic keys),
Yanmar’s E-Key system is designed to be extremely versatile and compatible with the latest versions of the VC20 control panel, VC20 rudder control unit, and VC20 display. This flexibility allows installation on vessels with one or more engines, even those with multiple engine control stations. With the ability to attach up to 10 different tags to each installation, users can customize and enjoy a wide range of features to suit their specific needs. If desired, the owner can set up a tag for himself and one for each family member or crew member.
Floris Lettinga, Yanmar’s director of Sales and Marketing, emphasized the company’s pride in introducing this innovative solution, which demonstrates its ongoing commitment to technological innovation and customer satisfaction. The flawless integration and high level of convenience offered by the E-Key system are a testament to Yanmar’s pursuit of systems that enhance the sailing experience for owners and enthusiasts worldwide.
