Everything is ready for the Ricciola Cup 2018, the oldest trolling competition in Italy, which will take place from October 4 to 6 on the island of Giglio. This event, established in the late summer of 1985, draws trolling enthusiasts from all over the peninsula and is among the most prestigious events for those who enjoy live trolling. The Iberian Sea Urchin Cup has a very strong appeal among more experienced crews such as the Lowrance Fishing Team, the Lowrance brand’s fishing team, which will also be the event’s main sponsor. The electronics brand’s team includes big names in fishing such as Marco Alessandrini aboard his Al Custom 25, “Wizard” Matteo Catelani aboard the Master 775 Fishing, and Davide Acone on the BWA 220 Pro Fishing.
The three teams are not only members of the Lowrance team, but also of the other Ricciola Cup partner, Suzuki. Marco Alessandrini on the Al Custom 25 and Matteo Catelani, the Grand Wizard, aboard the Master 775 Fishing will both be powered by Suzuki’s most powerful outboard: the DF350A; powered. In the crew captained by Davide Acone, the BWA 220 Super Pro Fishing will have a Suzuki DF175 at the stern.
The appointment for crews at the Ricciola Cup will be on October 4, 2018 in Giglio Porto for the briefing. Instead, the fishing days will be October 5 and 6, which will take place in the stretch of sea between the southern tip of Capel Rosso to the tip of Fenaio. During the Amberjack Cup special attention will be given to young people who are getting into sport fishing: in addition to being able to interact with the staff, they will have some experienced fishermen and marine biologists on hand to understand the fascinating world of fishing carried out in an environmentally friendly manner.
