With this signing, a new era begins for Wider, which will have Marcello Maggi, Marcello Maggi, a major player in the marine industry for more than 30 years, at its helm, and the company will strengthen its leadership in environmentally sustainable recreational boating. The new group of investors will help accelerate the company’s growth and list it on the stock exchange within three years.

Who is Marcello Maggi

As part of the acquisition, Marcello Maggi was appointed president and director of sales and marketing, and will be based in the Munich office. Born in Ancona, Italy, but a resident of Monte Carlo for more than 20 years, he has strategically developed companies such as ISA, which he co-founded in 2001, and CRN.

Wider, a new era

Wider will work in a niche segment and focus on quality and customized hybrid motoryachts. One of the main reasons for the acquisition was the very high level of management and staff, as well as the yachts’ excellent performance in terms of comfort, noise, vibration, and their eco-friendly soul. They will be aluminum hybrid boats involving the German Lloyd Werft shipyard for hybrid boats longer than 76 meters that will be produced in Bremerhaven.
