WiLder 60 (19 m) is the 40-knot XL sports boat (with 3 cabins)

High performance, super-sporty lines, supercar details and plenty of space. A new 18.9-meter arrives and it would seem more than intent on making its mark. That’s the new WiLder 60, from Italy’s Wider, whose new 60-foot aluminum boat presents a customizable model with a remarkable interior and powered by twin V8s of 1,300 horsepower each, for 40 knots of top speed.

The yard’s challenge was easier said than done, to make a 60-footer that was fast, but also customizable and capable of cruising, without sacrificing bulky and comfortable exteriors. The Wider Engineering Team responded with a high-performance aluminum hull combined with rich interior volumes with lounge areas and fully customizable interiors curated by the Wider Style Center. The pair of MAN V8s then does the rest, paired with the hull, for ranges of about 240 nautical miles at cruising speeds of 35 knots…

WiLder 60 – Outdoors

Low profile, sleek lines and inverted bow. Thus the shipyard’s Style Center developed its new creature, with sculptural, fully automotive-inspired lines (as the large aft air intakes well emphasize), balanced by a central superstructure that is equally dynamic, but also effective in protecting the wheelhouse and portion of the cockpit.

Low profile, of course, but not low volume. In fact, the new WiLder 60 is designed to offer maximum floor space, thus providing respectable outdoor spaces divided into three main areas. First, in the bow, a large sundeck with recessed sofas provides a first large sunbathing area, mirrored aft, where a second large central sundeck takes its place.

Offering more versatility to the exteriors, then comes into play the semi-enclosed portion of the cockpit, protected by the top at the top but facing the sea on three sides. Here, an outdoor lounge houses an additional convivial area, complete with piano bar, just aft of the wheelhouse. A complex of elements that, in a nutshell, not only seeks maximum volume, but also offers various solutions to meet the most diverse needs that may arise.

Interior

Despite its sleek, sporty appearance, the WiLder 60 also offers an ace up its sleeve when it comes to undercover. Indeed, the interiors are spacious and voluminous, but more importantly, they can be configured and finished based on individual owner needs. A feature that, fundamentally, makes each one unique.

Custom or not, the first WiLder 60 is, however, a good basis for demonstrating internal volumes in the meantime. Below deck, in fact, the layout here offers a first large forward owner’s cabin, complete with private bathroom, which is accompanied by two additional guest cabins aft. Among them, salon and galley then come to life, thus offering everything needed for small and medium cruising, as well as, of course, for day trips.

Motorization and performance

Coming, finally, to the more technical component, on board we find a pair of MAN V8 engines of 1300 horsepower each with surface transmission. A combination that offers top speeds of 40 knots and cruising speeds of 35 knots for 240 mn range. Facilitating maneuvering, however, are no shortage of bow-thrusters and stern-thrusters, as well as two optional outriggers.
