Dometic GVTX10 and GVTX18
Dometic GVTX10 and GVTX18

When it comes to comfort on board, air conditioning plays a key role, especially during hot days or humid nights at anchorage. Dometic, a leader in solutions for life on the move (on boats and beyond), offers two new self-contained, variable-speed marine air conditioners: the GVTX10 and GVTX18. Here’s what makes them an ideal choice for those seeking performance, quiet operation and reliability on board.

How Dometic’s GVTX Works

Both models, GVTX10 (6,000 to 10,000 BTU/h) and GVTX18 (12,000 to 18,000 BTU/h), are equipped with variable capacity technology: the compressor automatically modulates power according to actual demand, thus ensuring constant temperature, low consumption and extremely quiet operation. Once the desired temperature is reached, the system reduces compressor speed, cutting down noise and energy waste.

GVTX systems use the new refrigerant R-454B, which is less harmful to the environment. In fact, its environmental impact is much less than that of refrigerant R-410A, with a GWP ( Global Warming Potential) of 78 percent less.

Sleep in the cool without noise

Unlike classic air conditioners, the GVTX series adopts a smart “slow start“: the compressor starts gradually, avoiding absorption spikes that can trip the circuit breaker or disturb the power supply to other on-board systems. This means greater safety and compatibility with even the most delicate electrical systems.

With their ultra-quiet mode and optimized air distribution, GVTXs ensure ideal comfort even while sleeping at night. The digital remote control and different fan speeds allow you to customize the climate at any time.

Dometic GVTX systems are designed to be easily installed in even the tightest spaces thanks to their compact design and flexible mounting options. The composite condensate tray prevents water stagnation and corrosion, while titanium coils ensure long life even in aggressive marine environments.
