Exit Carbon, an Italian company that makes carbon accessories for boats, has unveiled a new finish available for its products. It is called Naked Carbonâ„¢ and is a special technique that highlights the beauty of carbon “au naturel,” that is, without covering the product with additional finishes or paint.

Exit Carbon: The advantages of the new finish

From a manufacturing perspective, the company processes its carbon products with state-of-the-art aerospace technologies (prepreg and autoclave) that minimize resin content, ensuring maximum performance with minimum weight.

See how the new Naked Carbon finish compares to the classic High Gloss finish

The new Naked Carbonâ„¢ finish is the result of the company’s investment in the production cycle, and allows customers to appreciate the raw carbon fiber, as it is once made in an autoclave, and only polished to shine brighter. In addition to further decreasing the weight of the accessories, this finish-with high scratch resistance-also lowers production costs, and thus the final price for the customer. The first products to benefit from the new Naked Carbonâ„¢ finish can be found in the Exit Carbon catwalk collection:

  • Aurora Naked Carbonâ„¢: 216 cm of pure performance, now at $3290
  • Libera Naked Carbonâ„¢: 285 cm of refined elegance, now at $4175
  • Allegra Naked Carbonâ„¢: 350 cm of luxury, now at $6580

Glossy finish remains available

If you prefer Exit Carbon’s distinctive glossy, transparent look for your carbon catwalks, fear not, The Aurora 216, Libera 285 and Allegra 350 catwalks are still available (at their original price) with paint, and benefit from an improved manufacturing process for an even shinier, more uniform finish.
