Raymarine Yachtsense
Raymarine YachtSense

The dream of the “modern” yachtsman? To be able to manage every function of the boat through a touchscreen interface customized to their needs and those of the boat. Thus was born Yacht Sense by Raymarine, an advanced digital control system that connects to nearly every device on board. YachtSense gives skippers total control of the boat’s systems. Yachtsense also makes it easy to manage engine and generator sensors, air conditioning and lighting systems.

How YachtSense Raymarine works

YachtSense is controlled by a fully customizable touchscreen interface, accessible from any Raymarine Axiom multifunction display on board. It offers various configuration options and safety features. From an installation standpoint, the system is fully scalable to the owner’s needs.

How YachtSense Raymarine is designed

YachtSense uses a unique modular architecture that enables shipbuilders to design and standardize scalable digital control solutions across the entire model range. All YachtSense systems come with a master module and associated power module. They can then be integrated with a combination of additional multi-channel signal modules.

These individual modules interface with specific types of on-board devices and systems:

  • Lighting systems
  • pumps
  • winches
  • stern platforms
  • entertainment systems
  • air conditioning systems
  • generators
  • Mechanical systems on board

.

How to customize Raymarine YachtSense

YachtSense custom options in the Axiom user interface enable marine manufacturers and installers to create modern, elegant boat automation solutions. These solutions give skippers total control of every on-board system with simple touchscreen operation from any Axiom multifunction display.

YachtSense delivers three levels of electrical redundancy. Master Modules feature an integrated keypad for manual override, as well as an LCD for system diagnostics. All YachtSense modules are housed in rugged IPX6 waterproof enclosures and are backed by a three-year warranty.

YachtSense Raymarine on a SACS 55

The system has also been pre-installed on board a SACS Rebel 55 in Italy.

“We were delighted to install Yachtsense – says Matteo Magni, President of SACS SRL. – on our boat prior to launch. We valued the Collaborative developmental approach with Raymarine to provide our owners with the next generation of Digital Switching. Technological innovations align with SACS vision to build boats with a daring design and a user-friendly architecture. The system allows intuitive visibility and connection to the boat’s eco-system. We were particularly impressed with the safety features which are important for a product central to the boat’s function and performance”
