Yamaha’s V MAX SHO outboard range, which debuted in Europe in 2020, has received an update and redesign. There are four V MAX SHO models, with power outputs of 90, 115, 150, and 175 horsepower, and four years after their launch they have been revised by the Japanese manufacturer, both in styling and some minor changes.

What engines are Yamaha’s V MAX SHO outboards.

V MAX SHO outboards are designed for those who like speed, and are suitable for use on fairly light fishing, sport, or fast pleasure boats. They have great responsiveness in terms of acceleration, an excellent power-to-weight ratio, and can reach high speeds with high torque.

The new restyling, which will be available for purchase from September 2024, features a glossy black grille (although it looks dark blue in early images) with 3D molded details and decals to embellish the V MAX SHO logo graphic.

In addition to the novelties affecting the graphic questiona, the new V MAX SHOs receive the tilt system that allows the engine to be locked at an angle, which is useful for winterization and also to facilitate maintenance work. This is a feature that was already present on the 150- and 175-horsepower versions, which will now be available on the 90- and 115-horsepower models.
