If you are interested in safe, marine hulls, ideal for day trips as well as short cruises, there is a new weekender coming with the next season. Scheduled for 2025, in fact, the new flagship of the Yamarin fleet, the Finnish brand partnered with Yamaha (hence the name, a hybrid from Yamaha and Marine), has been announced. At 10 meters long and powered by a pair of Yamaha outboards, the newcomer will be, precisely, a weekender designed primarily to combine versatility and comfort. With a pleasingly Nordic look, set walkaround, it will be an all-season boat and thus, in good Nordic tradition, suitable for both colder climates and the more placid, sunny summer days. Compact, agile and cabin cruiser, here’s a preview for you.
Yamarin 10 Meters | Preview
In keeping with the shipyard’s tradition, the flagship was developed in close collaboration with Yamaha Motor, consequently optimizing the entire hull geometry to the specific engines with which it will be made available. A particularly interesting solution since, as can be guessed, it implies specially developed water lines and weight distribution, theoretically thus providing the hull with optimal degrees of marinity and control. A solution that is reflected in the intended uses for which the hull is designed: offering versatility suitable for both lazy days and roadsteads, as well as coastal exploration and more formed seas.
Yamarin 10 Meters – Volumes and Design
In terms of design and project, moving further than its previous models, with the new flagship Yamarin will introduce, for the first time in its range, not only a cabin hull, but also one equipped with a pilot-house. Set up as a walkaround, with a forward sundeck in the deckhouse and a protected cockpit aft, the yard’s new 10-meter will, in fact, have the pilot house as its centerpiece, a central and sheltered environment from which to enjoy sailing to the fullest. Here, the wheelhouse and dinette will engage the main spaces, yes offering protection in formed sea contexts or in harsher climates, but with the option of being able to open up (either on the roof or on the sides) to thus adapt best even in milder climates.
Design and volume aside, with the new hull Yamarin also announces the presence of the Yamarin Q System, a smart infotainment system capable of integrating navigation systems, engine data, weather updates, and dedicated components designed to improve navigation and safety.
