Yanmar Marine International has unveiled its new VC30, a third-generation navigation control system designed to help the crew especially during the mooring experience. It is, in fact, the most advanced system Yanmar has ever made, extremely easy to use and also easy to install.

How Yanmar VC30 works

The VC30 integrates throttle control and mooring maneuvers into a single solution. The starting point of the system is a newly developed precision joystick that, in conjunction with Vetus bow thrusters, enables maneuvering in even the tightest of spaces on both stern-foot and shaft-drive boats.

For an optimal viewing experience, the system includes a 4.3-inch 1000cd display. With optical bonding technology, reflections are reduced and readability is excellent, even in bright sunlight. With NMEA2000 output and an automatic dimming function for nighttime navigation, you will always have clear information at your fingertips.

Installation has been simplified as much as possible, with the VC30 requiring fewer components and only a single electronic control unit, making it faster to install and easier to maintain than previous models. The user interface has also been improved for immediate configuration. Attention to detail extends to physical controls, with unified design control heads and switch panels, improved water resistance, and a natural tactile feel.

Even with single motors

The VC30 system is versatile and compatible with a wide range of HVO-approved Yanmar common rail engines and is ideal for single, twin and triple engine configurations. As pointed out by Wouter-Jan Van der Wurff, President and CEO of Yanmar Marine International, “The VC30 is designed not only to enhance the boater experience, but also to be easily integrated or retrofitted by manufacturers and dealers.”
