YOT 53

The journey into the world of powerboats continues for YOT, brand i Catana Group (sailing giant). This time it is not a day catamaran like the YOT 36 or the YOT 41, but a larger craft. It is called the YOT 53 and aims to challenge other new 15-meter catamarans in the segment by focusing on decidedly modern and attractive lines. As always, this cat makes the case for considerable advantages over the monohull. With two hulls comes up to 40 percent more living space than half of the same length. What’s more, this one even has folding bulwarks, as we have already seen on smaller models mentioned earlier. The stern thus becomes a veritable parade ground.

YOT 53

The result of a collaboration between J&J Design and the shipyard’s in-house technical team, the YOT 53 was created to meet the specific demands of motoryacht enthusiasts. Building on more than 40 years of experience in building catamarans under the Catana and Bali brands, the French shipyard has created a boat that combines the best innovations already seen in the sailing segment with a completely “power” approach.

Among the boat’s distinctive features, as mentioned above, is the stern. It fully opens the cockpit to the sea, and the U-shaped galley positioned at the front, so as to encourage conviviality and free space. The forward area contains the full-beam master cabin: there is a king-size bed, bathroom with separate facilities, sitting area, dressing table cabinet and, most importantly, direct access to a private terrace in the forward cockpit. This exclusive space is ideal for moments of relaxation, morning yoga or sunset aperitifs, while providing privacy, comfort and panoramic sea views.

The largest rooftop on the market

The YOT 53 boasts an expansive upper deck designed to experience every moment of the day: dual-seat helm station, sundeck for six, U-shaped dining area for eight, wet bar with grill, refrigerators and ample storage space; all protected by an integrated hard top design that provides shade and protection.

Modular space and total contact with the sea

The aft cockpit is a true masterpiece of functional design: fold-down side decks, retractable sundeck, swiveling furniture, multifunctional hydraulic platform for bathing, loading/unloading tender and water toys. The tender is operated via a telescopic crane built into the roof for easy and safe operations.

Two configurations for every need

The YOT 53 is available in two layouts; the owner’s version features the Full-width main cabin, VIP cabin with queen-size bed and private bathroom, as well as modular guest cabins (two singles or one double bed). The layout a 4 Cabins, on the other hand, provides two double cabins in the bow to replace the master cabin, while still maintaining access to the forward cockpit.

Top performance and energy efficiency

Powered by two Yanmar 440- or 550-horsepower thrusters, the YOT 53 reaches cruising speeds between 15 and 18 knots, with peaks of about 23 knots. With the possibility of installing 48V lithium batteries, it is possible to power air conditioning and high-drain devices without the need for a generator, ensuring maximum comfort and silence even in the most remote bays.

“The YOT 53 represents a new vision of motor cruising: functional, sustainable, spacious and designed to create experiences. It is a concrete response to the current needs of owners and a proposal that already looks to the future of motor cruising,” says Boris Compagnon, sales and marketing director of CatanaGroup.
